#np: I wouldn't mind-He is We

School's over for the week-for me at least :)  The industry trip to Shaw Organisation has been postponed to after the Chinese New Year, so I've Got No School Tomorrow!! So here are the photos for this week!

I took this on Moday with Ariel before during lunch, before changing into our S&W shirts for yoga! In 'honor' of my nickname in school, I decided to wear my Vintage-ish British Flag top. It's just so pretty and super comfortable to wear! Oh, and Ariel looks awesome in this pic (ain't I right?)! She wore this cute patterned dress and matched it with her wooly black jacket! It looked really good on her :P

After yoga (which again put me to a deep slumber), I met up with Threesome at Munch for a little chit chat. Poor Rigel got our drink orders mixed up and everyone got a good laugh from it. The moment Brandon left to buy some food, we spammed his Iphone with random photos! It was hilarious! Not to mention, we're thinking of coming up with a Threesome T-shirt!

This was Tuesday during lunch. The guys seem to like the Ayam Pengyet here, I've seen them eat it quite a few times when we meet up for lunch. Shaina showed us her Math texbook which was filled with little doodles here and there, as well as a I hate Math section in one of the pages! OH! I just noticed someone was not ready for the shot! Haha~

This was taken earlier on Tuesday, during our tutorial. This time I was grouped with Vinice, Yonas, Gordon, Charmaine and Aloysuis. We walked all the way to the running track to do a 60sec video (which is super far from our class block) but we got a hearty round of applause for the effort we put in! So...yeh for that!

At night, I went out with Dad to view the plants at some orchards again. This time it was to someplace nearer. I got to see real cherry blossom plants for the first time and they looked soooooo pretty!! If only I could go to Japan during Spring someday and watch the Sakuras fall as the wind blow~

Wednesday. The Mindworks lesson was really engaging and we did some groupwork. It was kinda interesting watching Cal scribble down notes and drafts all with a pink pen. In fact I think his notebook is more colourful than mine :P

Thank goodness I brought all my notes with me, they certainly came in handy!

Bro promised Dad he would finish all his homework by the time he got home. Guess who happened to be nearby to start a study session? XD

Yoga class was really strenuous this week. We did a whole lot of stretching and breathing exercises. There's actually a really long name for this kind of stretching exercise but I personally call it the London Bridge is falling down exercise :P

This afternoon, I had lunch with Godma. She showed me the way to SIM and I tried out the spaghetti at the foodcourt. I got the chance to catch up with Godma about my time in NP so far and it was nice getting to eat and chat with her before meeting up with my SocPsych group @Ourspace to do our project :)

I'm not sure what to do tomorrow to be honest. Maybe I'll just sleep till noon and focus on my projects before heading out for a good Friday Dinner~

#np: lady luck (instrumental)- Masaki Yuka

I'm finally home! The weather was blistering hot this afternoon it was unbearable! I've got no school on Friday so technically tomorrow's my last day of school for the week! (Hip hip hurray~!) It's kind of ironic though. What do I mean? Well, technically tomorrow the O'level grads will get their JAE posting results and those that applied for Junior College start school on Friday XD Yes, I'm talking about you Jessie and Cheryl (If you guys are reading this, though I highly doubt it at the moment) Anyway, I decided to do a WHAT'S IN MY BAG post this time, only because I was thinking of packing my bag a little while ago...
.
.
.
Shall we begin?

So this is what I usually stuff into my backpack on a daily basis (minus the Social Psychology textbook 'cos I only have lessons on that on Tuesday and Thursday). It's not really a lot of stuff. Were you expecting make-up bags and fluffy girly stuff? Sorry to disappoint :P

This is what I put into my main bag pocket (Do you call it a pocket, or a section?) On Tuesdays and Thursday, I would include my laptop (I carry it in my Bunny Laptop bag) and Laptop charger, as well as my Social Psychology and Communication textbook. Actually, I just got my book today so I'll start bringing it to school tomorrow :) The light blue and red booklet on the right is my personal notebook. In it, I scribble down whatever the teacher says in my messiest handwriting. It's a little embarrassing to show the content inside. I also carry this adorable Sentimental Circus folder which is filled with my lecture notes from both SocPsych and MindWorks. I usually use office clips to secure them together 'cos I can't fit a stapler into my pencil case and I just throw in all the excess clips into the smaller pockets in my bag. They're everywhere in my bag :/ My pencil case has just 1 blue pen, the rest are all in other colours. I like 'decorating' my notes with loads of colours, so my pencil case is filled with colours of the rainbow!

In my second bag pocket, I store my:
IPhone charger- this is super vital to me and usually the first thing I do the moment I enter the classroom is to plug my charger into one of the power sockets on the desk, followed by my laptop charger.
Earphones- Last Christmas Dad bought me these awesome Bang and Olufsen earphones. Since then, it's been my absolute LOVE. I am hardly seen without them when I go to and fro school and the sound quality is just out of this world!
*confession: I NEVER share these earphones with others-ever!*
Face Towel- I take Yoga lessons in school and so having a face towel is pretty darn important to avoid my face from ever touching the yoga mat. I bring it on a daily basis because the weather here gets ridiculously high at times and I can't be bothered to carry tissue packs with me all the time.

Chewing Gum- Sugarless mint is my favourite. My teacher doesn't have an issue with me chewing gum in class and I find that I can concentrate better in class chewing away on minty gum. It also comes in handy after Yoga class. I'm able to stay awake in the bus long enough to alight at the right stop XD

Band-aids and alcohol swabs- I have a tendency to trip whenever I'm too engaged in a conversation with others so I carry these just in case I land unceremoniously on the ground.

Wallet- Just who doesn't need one? You tell me~

These are just some extra stuff I pack into smaller compartments in my backpack. I usually wear my jacket to class 'cos it's pretty cold in the morning when I walk to the bus-stop and the classrooms can get pretty cold after the first hour. When lessons are over, I just stuff it into my main bag pocket. I keep a little container with some extra hair-ties in case I forget to tie my hair or whenever I need to 'tame my mane.'  Then there's my water bottle which I am in love with:) I also carry this little bottle of Deodorant (the travel-pack kind) with me. It's so light and convenient and really comes in handy!

Then there's my iPhone which essentially serves as my wallet during lunch. I just insert a ten dollar notes into one of it's card-holder pocket before heading to the food stalls. My wallet serves more as a card holder and I stuff my receipts and membership cards in it.

So that's usually what I carry to school.  My backpack is actually a little smaller than most backpacks and the straps are super comfy so carrying the items around is no biggie to me :) If you need a little gum before class, now you know who to ask for!

#np: True-Cézaire

I was browsing through my facebook account and found more photographs taken on Friday, during the industry trip with my class. Here they are!

Group shot! It's a pretty big class once everyone comes together.
This shot looked really good, so I decided to put it up here :)

I spent my Saturday afternoon cleaning my room, starting from my hell-of-a-wardrobe. After 2 back-breaking hours, I managed to clean, sort-out and organise all my clothes. I got rid of a mountain pile of old clothes and handed them to Mum to sort out even further
( Mum's got this typical hoarding habit. I heard she kept half of what I didn't want in her closet. Not sure why though~) After that I tidied up my room, just in time to send Bro for swim class.

After Bro's lesson, my family decided to go to United Square for dinner. We had a simple and quick meal at the Foodcourt before starting our CNY shopping spree!(which lasts between 2-3 weekends, depending on Mum and Dad's mood) Mum was in a good mood so I managed to grab a little more clothes than I normally would XD
This was taken at Esprit. Mum and Dad were at the cashier and Bro got a sudden urge of high-ness. He was 'admiring' himself at the full-length mirror and I decided my phone would come in handy during that moment. IT TOTALLY WAS!!!

Must be the syrup he had during dessert...

I gotta change my specs soon...or maybe just start wearing contacts...

Then came along Sunday and as usual, I spent my afternoon at my grandparents' place. I got to see Pepper again and she's lookin' reaaaaaaaaaaal good! She kept yapping and bouncing whenever she saw Bro and I XD. After dinner, Dad took Bro and I out to an Orchard to check out the plants for CNY. The moon was full and super bright that the clouds around it couldn't cover it at all :) The orchard we went to was technically closed but we went in anyway and it was as though we had the entire place to ourselves. There were just so many  beautiful orchids on sale and endless rows of neatly potted mandarin orange plants. We ended up buying two pots of orange-yellowish orchids and cans of green tea and Kickapoo :)

I'm gonna go sleep now, with school and all tomorrow :) Oh boy and I still haven't got my textbook for Social Pscyh and Comm class yet and my test's on Tuesday...hope my notes will be just fine! *Fingers Crossed*

#np: BPM-Trick

I'VE SURVIVED THE FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL!
TGIF, it's the weekend! To be honest, I think this was the BEST first week of school for me EVER! I've made lots of awesome friends and already got to know my class a whole lot better! I've even gotten myself a nickname-The Queen! Hmmm...I wonder why~ XD

As mentioned in my previous post, I've added some pictures taken from Monday to Friday. Each day has been filled with fun, new experiences. If I didn't have so many great friends, school wouldn't even have been half, no, a third as much fun as it would have been for me!

Day ONE. I met up with the rest of THREESOME at the 'mirror' area above Munch for lunch. This was an awesome group photo and we(the DPA kids) were all dressed in our Sports and Wellness shirts and ready for our next lesson at 2pm :) I got pretty cranky over the Lotus Position during yoga because it was incredibly painful for me. Boy am I stiff as a board!! :P

Day TWO. I had my very first Social Psych and Comm lesson. I met up with Threesome in the morning an hour before class at Munch and we split into our various schools for lesson. I walked to class with Ariel, Rigel and Zack cause we were the FMS DPA students and our lessons were conducted with the rest of the DPA students from all the other courses in FMS.

During class, we did our very first tutorial. Split into various groups, Dom, Naveen,Celine, Yonas and I became The Jerks and we had an hour to roam about the campus to complete the tutorial. Because our task had to do with communication, we headed straight to the Atrium, to RadioHeatwave to seek the DJs' help. We took photos with them and they gave us a shoutout on their FB page. This photo was taken from there :)

Day THREE. We have Sports and Wellness every Monday and Wednesday, so we got dressed up again in our comfy S&W attire. Rigel helped me take this shot featuring the proud Threesome people who are in Yoga!!!
( Thanks Rigel for this pic if you happen to see this! It's a good one!)

Day FOUR. Social Psych and Comm class today again. This time, I brought my Lenovo along! It was such a fun, fresh feeling, using a laptop in class for the first time. I was actually super conscious at first, worrying that my typing would be noisy  to some people but soon got over it cause everyone was typing just like me XD.

As usual, we had another group work. This time, I was with Dom,Nurul and Teddy and we had an hour to come up with a presentation on Perception and First Impressions. It was fun and a little nerve-wrecking having to present in front of class, but not because of the many eyes staring at you, but at the fact that there are THREE teachers paying VERY CLOSE ATTENTION to what we said and the way we carried ourselves. And it wasn't helping knowing that they weren't locals. I was struggling to avoid speaking like my usual, Singaporean self and found myself speaking in an accent out of the blue~

For dinner, Threesome had planned a surprise Birthday Party for Jonathan, even though his birthday was actually Friday. We went to Buddy Hoagies at six and had a good meal together.

The place was really cool. Pictures of singers from the older times were everywhere and the ambiance at the restaurant was very refreshing :)

CHEESE~!

3 + Awesome = THREESOME!!!

Everyone's expressions when Jonathan cut his cake...

The plastic lining round the cake was tricky to remove, so Kiwi helped Jonathan remove it.Oh, the cake, btw, was WONDERFUL!!IT TASTED SOOOOO GOOD! But I only ate a little bit because I was having a bad cough and sore throat.
(I still have it now,though :/ )

Happy 17 Birthday, Jonathan :)

Brandon definitely succeeded in making all of us laugh XD

Day FIVE. I didn't have school that day, but a 'field trip' to Weber Shandwick with the FMS students at 5 on Friday. I got the chance to meet up with Cheryl, Ethelin and Jeslyn at AMKhub and we watched Hansel And Gretel together at Cathay. Poor Cheryl and Jeslyn were a little overwhelmed by the blood and gore in the movie. But hey, it's NC16, what DIDN'T you expect?

It was great finally being together again! I made a promise to treat them all a meal when they start school and get the chance to find me at NP:)

After the 'field trip', which was surprisingly boring and short, we decided to have dinner at Just Acia. We split ourselves naturally, with the girls on the left and the boys on the right, towards the 'entrance'. I got to know everyone better during the meal and we gave each other quirky nicknames. And of course, we had loads of laughs-as usual :)

This was taken by Vinice. Credits to her for this shot. You can see the boys are All the way at the end!

So, yeah. It was a wonderful and packed week of school. My whatsapp is always filled with messages every time I check it in the morning and I always have people to be and have fun with. Now, I'm just looking forward to the weekend and getting to sleep as looooooooooooooooong  as I want!

#np: Lonely Boy-The Black Keys

So I decided to set up a blog simply because the laptop was on and I'm not tired. During the process of coming up with a blog address,  I figured it would be best for me to start  blog post proper by showcasing the photographs I captured during my first week of school.
.
.
.
.
But, well...
.
.
.
Here I am, technically messing up my first post with a boring, image-less post.
Yes,yes, you're permitted to yawn and leave this page and all.

So far, school's been great! There's so much going on each day and being with a group of awesome friends means that I don't have to feel introverted and awkward.Oh and I'm not joking on the awesome friends part. I mean, these people LITERALLY live up to that! Classes aren't draggy and sleep-inducing( well, I actually fell asleep during yoga class today but that's different). The teachers are pretty cool and it seems like my class is pretty darn close already!(Thumbs up for that!) After classes I'd hang out with Threesome( my DPA group) and we would have meals and chats together. Awesome times, happy days...

Ok, I'm just gonna go wrap myself up in my blanket and wriggle to bed. Apparently someone set the AC too low and I can't find the remote...
