#np: White Noise - Monkey Majik

Back to school....back to relying on my phone as an alarm clock and back to climbing up hills to get to classes...

I'm too tired to write much today, so I'll just let the pictures speak on my behalf :)

While out exploring the campus through our Lumix Lenses during Digpho...

Pretty much 90% of all the shots I took were in monochrome. I can't quite put my finger on it but everything looks more professional in black and white...

Went to LP1 the night before the start of school with Mum and Bro. Both the food and ambience received full marks on my scoreboard.

awesome smoked salmon crepe...

I just had to screenshot this the moment I received it. :)

I swear, this girl.... she's a mindreader~

You gotta end Friday with a great family dinner. Went to Jack's place for an extremely filling family dinner. I got my latte :)

Say hi to 'Ferrari!' Dad named him... XD

#np: Treasure - Bruno Mars

I'm not sure why but I feel the sudden urge to advocate the books on my shelves. It's so random. I was just about to leave my room when my hands just reached out for a novel I've left untouched for a couple years.

Maybe there's something wrong with me.
(who am I kidding? I'm a  freakin alien~)

Anyway and anyhow, I guess it's completely fine to show some books a little love and appreciation once in a little while. Books are, after all, essential to our psychological and intellectual well-being...a great boost for those out there who have IQs that are rapidly deteriorating due to the 'lack of brain activity' over the holidays, just like yours truly. ( I can feel my head getting lighter by the day :/ )

So the book that my hands mysteriously reached out for is this:

I bought this book at the airport before my flight to Hainan Island a couple years ago. I figured a trip to the bookstore would help me kill some time while waiting for the gates to open and in the midst of that process, thought that an even greater time-killer would be to grab what's hot on the shelves and rekindle my love for reading on the plane.

Smart move there, Liz. You made a smart move under 15 bucks.

Flipping through the pages while in the air, I found this book particularly intriguing. During the four hour flight, this little novel became my heroin. This book is part of Tess Gerritsen's Rizzoli and Isles series; Forensic pathologist (a medical examiner) Maura Isles and detective Jane Rizzoli uncover the secrets behind a Mummy's death after discovering a bullet lodged in the patient's leg.

I don't know about you but the moment I turned to the back of the novel and read the back cover, I walked straight to the cashier and slapped the book on the counter with the cash already in hand.
Isn't it exciting? A murder mystery? A 'mummy'?

Who would have known such a twisted story to have existed? And that it's readily available at an airport near you? Now here comes the whole advocating part...

Tess Gerritsen is a great writer; her works are even better. I mean, c'mon! Won't you get excited too when you find the museum's most anticipated upcoming attraction to have a freaking 21st century bullet lodged in her leg, under all that bandage and brick-hard Mummy-mummification stuff? Geez! I get chills just reading this.

And what's even better? The culprit is still out there, searching for a new 'Momma'...

So here's my 2 cents worth on this take. This book is great is you're really into mystery, detective-work and stuff like that. I don't even think it cost $15 right now...maybe just $10 is enough to get a copy.
A good deal, I'll say...

Now I'm off to find stuff to eat in the fridge.
Ciao~
